School Leadership in the USA: Preparing Technology “Power Users” in the Information Age
This paper provides an overview of present and anticipated use of technology by school leaders and a description of current and emerging pedagogical approaches associated with the preparation of school leaders in the use of technology. The paper is organized around five key questions. How do school leaders currently use technology? What are the anticipated uses of technology by school leaders in the future? What are the current pedagogical practices related to technology in the preparation of school leaders? What are the emerging pedagogical approaches in the preparation of school leaders to use technology? What are the implications and recommendations for the future? An extensive list of references is included.
