This workshop provides an introduction to the QuADEM method (Quality Assessment of Digital Educational Materials). Many guidelines can be found on quality standards, but only a few focus specifically on the production and revision of learning materials in the field of academic and professional writing.

The method we present incorporates ten different perspectives (i.a. content, usability, learning styles) that enable instructors to evaluate their learning materials and it combines theoretical background with practical procedures and techniques. By evaluating digital materials from these perspectives and by involving different stakeholders in the teaching process, we can guarantee a sound quality assessment framework.

Attendees are invited to participate in a hands-on workshop and will have the chance to apply the QuADEM method to existing learning materials. Participants can email learning materials up to a week before the start of the conference to be included in the workshop. Throughout the workshop participants will have access to the QuADEM handbook as a main point of reference.
