An Analysis of Curricula of ICT Study Programs

The higher education sector in Slovenia has undergone tremendous growth in size and effectiveness over the past decades. In the paper we give an overview of situation on higher education in Slovenia. We systematically present data on student enrollment from various perspectives. The paper goes on by describing a national approach to assure a high quality of higher education (accreditation and evaluation processes). The submission is based on working knowledge of Slovenian Council for Higher Education. A special attention in the paper is given to analysis of curricula of existing ICT study programs in the tertiary education in Slovenia. The paper gives clear messages about the sector, and supports the argument that we have a diverse mass higher education system in Slovenia of considerable achievement and with further potential to support the future needs of this relatively small European nation.
